Welcome to GenWy Wind. The GenWy Wind project will harness the strong wind resource in the area to provide a whole new crop for the farmers and other residents of Genesee and Wyoming counties. Working with community members every step of the way, GenWy Wind seeks to maximize the economic and environmental benefits of wind energy, keeping the area open and rural while providing clean, sustainable energy to New York State for years to come.
The people of GenWy Wind, who are long-time residents of upstate New York, are currently working with community members to answer questions and explore the benefits and possibilities of commercial wind energy for the area. We welcome your participation in this dialog.
